In accordance with the Credit Institutions Act, the Croatian National Bank keeps a register of representative offices of foreign credit institutions in the Republic of Croatia. Credit institutions established outside the Republic of Croatia are obligated to notify the Croatian National Bank of their intention to establish a representative office of a credit institution in accordance with Article 86 of the Credit Institutions Act.
The representative office of a credit institution is a legally dependent part of a credit institution which may only carry out activities related to market research, representation, promotion and provision of information on the credit institution which established it.
