The European Banking Authority (EBA) has announced the names of the current six elected Members of its Management Board. Martina Drvar, CNB Vicegovernor, will join the Board together with Jesper Berg of the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority, Finanstilsynet, Raimund Roeseler of the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority, BaFin, Sissy Papagiannidi of the Bank of Greece, Maarten Gelderman of De Nederlandsche Bank and Jesús Saurina Salas of the Bank of Spain.
The role of the Management Board is to ensure that the EBA carries out its mission and performs the tasks assigned to it. To this end it has the power, inter alia, to propose the annual work programme, the annual budget, the staff policy plan and the annual report.
