The Croatian National Bank has issued "Black Lizard" gold and silver collector coins with commemorative motifs that represent an endemic subspecies of the Brusnik karst lizard (Podarcis melisellensis melisellensis), an important part of the natural heritage of the Republic of Croatia, living on a small island of Brusnik, which has been protected as a geological natural monument since 1951.
The gold collector coins are issued in the 100 and 10 euro denominations and the silver coin is issued in the 4 euro denomination.
The gold and silver collector coins are minted in brilliant uncirculated condition and released for sale on 14 March 2024.

The author of the design of the gold and silver collector coins is Nikola Vudrag.
The collector coins were minted and are sold by the Croatian Mint.
