The Croatian National Bank will issue a gold numismatic coin and silver numismatic coins “Island of Susak” featuring motifs honouring the island. Island of Susak is a Croatian island which, thanks to its natural beauties and distinguishable sights, constitutes an important part of Croatia’s natural, cultural and historical heritage. The gold coin is issued in colour in the denomination of EUR 100, one silver coin is issued in the denomination of EUR 6, also in colour, and another silver coin is issued in the denomination of EUR 4.
The gold coin and silver coins were designed by the sculptor Paula Banić Vudrag. The total issued quantity of the EUR 100 gold coin is limited to 200 pieces, that of the EUR 6 silver coin to 400 pieces, and that of the EUR 4 coin to 1,000 pieces.
The coins will be sold by the Croatian Mint as of 26 July 2024. The initial selling price of around EUR 2,730.00 is expected for the EUR 100 gold coin, while that of the EUR 6 silver coin is expected to range around EUR 127.99 without VAT and that of the EUR 4 silver coin around EUR 55.99 without VAT. The selling price at the time of purchase will depend on the movement in the price of gold and silver in the open market.
