At its today's extraordinary session, the CNB Council granted the approval to Heruc d.d. Zagreb for the acquisition of more than 20 percent of interest in initial capital of Nava banka d.d. Zagreb.
On the basis of the available documentation and examination of the situation and operation, an assessment was made that an acquisition of a qualifying holding by an investor who is already a majority owner of Centar banka d.d. Zagreb would allow for an increase in capital adequacy ratio to the required level, stabilisation of operations and overcoming of the consequences of losses reported in this year's operation by Nava banka.
The approved recapitalisation, by means of which Heruc d.d. acquires a holding of approximately 25 percent of capital, has created a precondition for a continuation of the process of the agreed acquisition of Nava banka by Centar banka.
