The Croatian National Bank has produced and released for sale collectors' sets of Croatian dinar and kuna banknotes.
The banknotes are placed in special folders consisting of covers and plastic sheet inserts with interleaving. The banknotes making up the sets have not been in circulation and are in perfect condition. All the banknotes in a set have the same serial letters and numbers.
A Croatian dinar set consists of twelve banknotes in all denominations issued from 1991 to 1994, which includes 1, 5, 10, 25, 100, 500, 1,000, 2,000, 5,000, 10,000, 50,000 and 100,000 Croatian dinars.
The kuna set consists of the nine banknote which includes 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1,000 kuna – issue 1993 and 10 kuna – issue 1995.
A set consisting of a commemorative 10-kuna circulation banknote, issue 2004, and a commemorative 20-kuna circulation banknote, issue 2014, was released for sale to mark the 20th anniversary of the introduction of the kuna as the monetary unit of the Republic of Croatia.
The Croatian dinar banknote design is by Zlatko Jakuš.
The kuna banknote design is by Miroslav Šutej, Šimun Šutej and Vilko Žiljak.
