In cooperation with the Croatian Monetary Institute, the Croatian National Bank issued a commemorative 150 kuna silver coin, marking the 2006 Football World Cup in Germany.
Minted in proof quality, the coin was released for sale on 20 November 2006.

The Decision on the issue and sale of the second issue of the commemorative silver coin "2006 Football World Cup Germany" was published in the Official Gazette No. 124/2006, 34/2010, 120/2010, 128/2012. and 109/2017.
The design of the silver coin is by the sculptor Damir Mataušić.
This issue was minted by the Croatian Mint.
The Croatian National Bank has contractually agreed to undertake the promotion and sale of this issue with the Croatian Mint.
