The implementation of macroprudential policy of the Republic of Croatia is the responsibility of the Croatian National Bank with regard to credit institutions and the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (HANFA) for non-banking financial intermediaries and financial markets.
Cooperation and the exchange of information between these bodies is ensured by the Financial Stability Council, the inter-institutional body that designs the macroprudential policy of the Republic of Croatia. It consists of representatives of the CNB and HANFA as well as the Ministry of Finance and the Croatian Deposit Insurance Agency.
The European Systemic Risk Board is responsible for the macroprudential supervision of the financial system at the EU level.
