Within collaboration between the Croatian National Bank and the Central Bank of Ireland, and organised by the Irish Croatian Business Association, a lecture in honour of the first independent CNB governor and Croatia's first ambassador in the Republic of Ireland, Dr. Ante Čičin-Šain, was held in the Croatian National Bank. The focus of this year's event was the eurozone crisis and its lessons for Croatia.
A lecture on this topic was delivered by the Croatian National Bank Vicegovernor Tomislav Presečan, while a response speech was given by lecturer of Economics at the University College Dublin, Prof. Colm McCarthy. The attendees, including the Irish Ambassador Thomas Brady, were also addressed by Croatia's Honorary Consul in Ireland Gerard Danaher.
