SMS transport and parking payments

Get informed about whether SMS transport and parking payments constitute payment services

As of 28 July 2018, the purchase of electronic tickets for transport or parking by means of SMS is considered a payment service only if the amount of an individual payment transaction exceeds EUR 50.00 or if the total monthly amount of payment transactions of an individual user exceeds EUR 300.00.

All payments by users to telecom operators for services and content such as digital content, voice services, electronic tickets and donations up to EUR 50.00 per transaction or up to a total of EUR 300.00 per user per month, including SMS transport or parking payments are not considered payment services.
