During the period of 29th-30th September 2022 the Libertina hall was a meeting place for participants of OECD/INFE Technical Assistance Project for Financial Education in South East Europe, carried out with the support of the Ministry of Finance of the Netherlands and its Money Wise platform.
The meeting was co-hosted by the Croatian National Bank and its Consumer Protection Monitoring Office.
Participants looked into the main conclusions stemming from the data, publications, capacity building and policy discussions carried out in the framework of the project. They also engaged in roundtable exchanges on current and future challenges and priorities.
In particular, the debates focused on:
- Initial insights from the Survey of financial literacy of MSME owners in the region in the context of the pandemic, the current economic situation and in international comparison;
- Financial education for key target audiences: youth and ageing populations;
- Ensuring the sustainability of financial education: best practices to secure funding for financial education and leveraging on employers to provide financial education in the workplace;
- Increasing impact and effectiveness of financial education: the role of culture, behavioural insights, and innovative delivery methods.
