
The Croatian National Bank is issuing gold and silver collector coins “King Tomislav”, with motifs commemorating the Croatian ruler King Tomislav who stands as a strong symbol of Croatian history, culture and identity. The gold coins are issued in the 200, 100 and 10 euro denominations and the silver coins are issued in the 6 and 4 euro denominations.
The design of the gold and silver coins “King Tomislav” is the sculptor Nikola Vudrag. The collector coins will be released for sale on 20 March 2025 with the exception of the EUR 6 silver coin that will be released for sale in May. The exact date of its release for sale will be communicated in due time. The total issued quantity of the EUR 200 gold coin is limited to 100 pieces, that of the EUR 100 gold coin to 300 pieces, and that of the EUR 10 gold coin to 1,000 pieces. The total issued quantity of the EUR 6 silver coin is limited to 500 pieces and that of the EUR 4 silver coin to 2,000 pieces.
The gold and silver coins will be sold by the Croatian Mint and the initial selling price of the EUR 200, EUR 100 and EUR 10 gold collector coins is expected to range around EUR 11,000.00, EUR 3,280.00 and EUR 220.00, respectively. The selling price for the EUR 6 and EUR 4 silver collector coin is expected to range around EUR 239.99 with VAT and EUR 79.99 with VAT, respectively. The selling price at the time of purchase will depend on the movement in gold and silver prices in the open market.
