Governor of the Croatian National Bank dr. Marko Škreb and Deputy Governor of the Croatian National Bank Mr. Zdravko Rogic will be attending the approaching Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
Working program of the CNB delegation will begin on Saturday, September 25, 1999 with the session of the constituency to which Croatia belongs and which is presided by the Netherlands. Another meeting on the schedule of the CNB delegation is the plenary session of this most important gathering of the IMF and the World Bank. The Annual Meetings will be convened on Tuesday, September 28 and are expected to close on Thursday, September 30, 1999.
Additionally, CNB delegation will meet with a number of IMF and World Bank officials as well as with officials from other financial institutions to discuss the possibilities of further cooperation. Also, the CNB officials will engage in discussions with representatives of the leading international banks which are interested in recent economic and financial developments in Croatia, especially in the prospects for the preservation of macroeconomic stability and strengthening of foreign investment in Croatia.
Further, a meeting of central bank governors from the states of former Yugoslavia will convene for the purpose of enhancing the division and use of inherited assets kept with the Bank for International Settlements.
