In cooperation with the Central Bank & Financial Services Authority of Ireland, the Croatian National Bank issued a commemorative silver coin dedicated to Ivan Meštrović, the best known and most celebrated Croatian sculptor and one of the world's greatest contemporary artists.

The Croatian National Bank issued a commemorative kuna-denominated silver coin and the Central Bank & Financial Services Authority of Ireland issued a commemorative euro-denominated silver coin. Featured on the obverse of both coins is a work by Ivan Meštrović, Girl with a Harp.

Minted in proof quality, the coin was released for sale on 1 February 2007.

The Decision on the issue and sale of the commemorative silver coin "Ivan Meštrović" was published in the Official Gazette No. 11/2007, 34/2010, 128/2012 and 109/2017.

The motif on the obverse of the silver coin is by Ivan Meštrović. The motif on the reverse and the overall design is by Damir Mataušić.

This issue was minted by the Croatian Mint.
