Published: 20/2/2008

In cooperation with the Croatian Mint, the Croatian National Bank launched the commemorative silver coin series Old Croatian Ships in order to honour and popularise the centuries-old Croatian shipbuilding tradition and emphasise the maritime orientation of the Republic of Croatia.

The first in the series of commemorative silver coins is dedicated to the Dubrovnik carrack, a sailing ship built in Dubrovnik in the 15th century, which ranked as one of the largest cargo ships of the time.

Minted in proof quality, the coin was released for sale on 25 February 2008.

Shown in the table below are the number of items issued and packaging.
